It’s not just the places we go, it’s the people we meet that capture the heart…
Places We Go is, and always has been, inspired by a group of friends who simply love everything that travel brings, from adventure, culture, history, food and the wonderful people you meet along the way.
Alongside the enormous amount of fun travel brings, not to mention an often much-needed escape from our everyday lives, we believe if we all had exposure to such adventures, we’d be more understanding and tolerant of different cultures right around the world.
What a beautiful world that would be!
It’s our mission to not only inspire you, but to bring the world a little closer by sharing our stories and of course offering inspiration on where to go and what to do.
Places We Go started in 2006 when founder (and writer/director/host) Jennifer Adams sat on the River Ganges in India and was so moved by the experience, she desperately wanted to share it with family and friends.
Our travel stories reach far and wide; with a television series that airs on Network Ten and ONE across Australia and also beams across the world to an audience of around 300 million; a book published in 2014 “The Ultimate Bucket List – Australia’s Top 100 Places To Go’, and of course our online home right here where you’ll find not only find stories from our team of passionate travellers, but also our wonderful guest bloggers who we take great pride in celebrating.
As all travellers know, the world is full of adventures and truly fascinating people to meet, so in the spirit of sharing our ideas and stories together, we would like to invite you to join our tribe...
We are excited to introduce some of the members of our PWG team... As you will see, we are all passionate about sharing our love of travel by entertaining, informing, and inspiring you - and hopefully bringing the world a little closer…
From all of us here at PWG, enjoy and happy travels! xox
Jennifer Adams
Founder, host, writer, director, blogger - the list goes on!
Places We Go is Jen’s dream come true. As the founder, it’s been a remarkable journey that has taken her to some of the most stunning places on the planet. But, as she says, her greatest privilege is the way she is warmly welcomed into the lives of locals all over the world who love sharing their backyards with Places We Go.
Jen’s crammed as much as humanly possible into her career to date, from news reporter, newsreader, documentary filmmaker and MC.
And with Places We Go in it’s tenth year of production, Jen has literally travelled the world with no journey off limits; whether kayaking alongside minke whales in Antarctica; interviewing Bedouins while pregnant in the desert of Jordan; to exploring every nook and cranny of our great Australian backyard with her partner Clint and their 9-year-old daughter Charli.
Jen is redefining the world adventure and taking us all along for the ride.

Clint Bizzell
Host, online editor… And the man inspiring us all with his online video blogs!
With a love of travel, film and a good old-fashioned chat on or off the camera, Clint loves celebrating the stories of those he meets through film, and you’ll find that passion here on placeswego.com in his short videos.
From climbing mountains all over the world and swimming with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef, to finding himself in an outback bronco-branding competition, Clint has enjoyed many adventures on the road with Places We Go for the past seven years, and says one of his most treasured memories was his four-month caravanning adventure around Australia with Jen, their daughter Charli and both of her grandmothers filming a 13-part series.
In Clint’s life before Places We Go, he enjoyed 12 years as an AFL footballer – playing for both Geelong and Melbourne. It’s the same passion and love of a team environment that he brings to the Places We Go family, as he always loves to bring people together on a journey, including the viewer.
Emma De Fry
Blogger, producer, marketing… and online whizz!
Emma has been exploring the ends of the earth since she was a teenager - from living abroad in New York, Switzerland, the UK and New Zealand, to exploring her favourite country of Sri Lanka - there is no stopping her adventurous spirit and she has travelled to more than 60 countries to date (and counting).
Like many of us, Emma who now has a 5 year old daughter and baby son, has been navigating the interesting transition from independent traveller to ‘travelling with kids’.
Passionately sharing her love of the world through Places We Go for the past nine years, Emma has a lifetime of travel adventures and a marketing career in the travel industry behind her.
Emma not only entertains us with her insightful travel blogs, but helps dream up where we are going to travel to next, producing the TV series of Places We Go (which can be a little scary for the presenters!).

Tom Carr
Blogger, social media guru… and serial traveller
Tom loves nothing more than sharing his wanderlust over a good bottle of pinot and a food dish he’s whipped up that’s been inspired by his latest adventures!
Having already notched up 54 countries (and he is not even 30 yet), Tom is clearly driven by ‘food travel’, often choosing destinations on what culinary delight he may find!
Tom’s love of food and adventure (okay, he is a master in the kitchen) even landed him a place on ‘My Kitchen Rules’ where he cooked up a storm and still swaps recipes today.
So whether you follow Tom’s blogs, travel-inspired recipes, or his many comments on our social media posts, you can be assured his aim is to inspire a new generation of nomadic foodies along the way!
