Australian Bucket List: Bright, Victoria

Places We Go Team | March 10, 2018 | 1:54 pm | 2 Comments

Bright in northeastern Victoria is one of our favourite Bucket List destinations… Tucked away in the lush Ovens Valley, surrounded by the peaks of the High Country and full of natural adventures, top-class food and wine, charming streetscapes and seasonal beauty, it is the ideal destination for everyone young and old.

We take on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, a spectacular bike route – part of which connects Bright with the nearby hamlet of Porepunkah. From wine tastings to brekky burritos, this is the best way to spend a day.

And finally, we jump on the Ovens River for a kayak adventure along easy rapids, with beautiful natural bushland all around us.

Thank you to:

Australian bucket list: Bright. March 10.

You have a travel show so I was very disappointed with your lack of geographic knowledge and poor editing capabilities. The kayaking segment at the 15.54 stage you quoted ‘the Alpine region of North Western Victoria’……there are not many mountains in the Mallee!!!!! I know what you meant but this glaring error should have been picked up in the production stage.

Thanks for your message, not even sure how this happened as I just looked back over the episode when I got this message – The entire time we reference North East Victoria, and somehow it said North West in that segment. I do apologise for this, we are fixing this for our international distribution. You are correct in saying this shouldn’t happen. Human Error. And for that I personally apologise. thanks again for watching. Such a beautiful part of the world – hope you enjoyed the episode. Jen
